Douglas Booth's birthday project
Come vi avevamo anticipato attraverso i nostri social networks, abbiamo preparato un progetto speciale in occasione del 9 luglio, il giorno in cui il nostro Douglas compirà 24 anni.
E' finalmente giunto il momento di svelarvi che cosa abbiamo organizzato!
Douglas, come alcuni di voi sapranno, ha molto a cuore la situazione dei rifugiati, per questo abbiamo deciso di aprire una raccolta fondi in favore dell'associazione "Help Refugees" per celebrare il suo compleanno!
Per poter realizzare questo progetto abbiamo bisogno del vostro aiuto, quello che vi chiediamo di fare è di diffondere la nostra iniziativa su internet e se vi fa piacere potete anche decidere di contribuire alla raccolta fondi con una donazione (a voi la scelta della quota da devolvere!)
Come diffondere la raccolta fondi:
1)Realizzate un piccolo cartellone (va bene anche un foglio A4) con scritto:" Help Refugees" e il link della raccolta fondi, cioè il sito dove è possibile fare la donazione. Il link della raccolta fondi è: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/happybdaydouglas
Potete utilizzare anche il logo dell'associazione nel cartellone.
2) Scattate una foto al cartellone e CONDIVIDETELA sui vostri social networks (twitter, facebook, Instagram, Tumblr ecc..) inserendo l'hashtag #DouglasBirthdayProject
Nella foto, se vi fa piacere, potete mostrare anche il vostro volto. Se volete potete menzionarci (esempio su twitter @douglasboothIT) o taggarci (su FB o Instagram)

Vi ringraziamo per la vostra attenzione e vi salutiamo riportando una trascrizione di un'intervista in cui Douglas parla dei rifugiati che ha conosciuto sull'isola di Lesbo:
"Le persone che ho incontrato hanno sopportato terribili sofferenze, perdite, dolori strazianti e provato paura. Cercano l'Europa per ottenere una protezione. Cercano l'Europa per avere sicurezza. Eppure troppo spesso diventano oggetto di pregiudizi, ostilità, intolleranza e rabbia. Invito le persone a ritagliarsi un po 'di tempo - anche solo cinque minuti - per guardare oltre i titoli dei giornali e conoscere almeno una persona ,tra le milioni in tutto il mondo, che è stata costretta a fuggire dalla propria casa. Leggete o guardate un breve filmato di una storia di un rifugiato che trovate su questo sito, parlate con un rifugiato che è nella vostra comunità. Prendetevi il tempo per capire da dove vengono queste persone - persone come te e me - per conoscere gli orrori dai quali sono fuggiti, il viaggio che hanno intrapreso, la vita che devono ricostruire da zero, le speranze che nutrono per il futuro. So che, come me, vi rispecchierete in loro e così anche la vostra famiglia e capirete che i rifugiati non sono una categoria a parte, ma sono persone comuni che stanno vivendo un'incredibile difficoltà. "

It’s time for the big revelation, you’re going to find out what we have planned for Douglas’ birthday!
As many of you know, Douglas is deeply involved with the refugees situation so we thought of a fundraising for “Help Refugees” as a way to celebrate his birthday and, of course, to help the cause.
For making it work we will need all the help we can get! We would like to ask you to share this project on your social media and if you feel like doing it, you can make a donation. It doesn’t have to be a big amount, even £1 can make the difference.
How to help us:
1)Make a small poster (A4 is okay) which says “Help Refugees” and share it with the fundraising link: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/happybdaydouglas
2)Take a photo with/of the poster and share it on your social media. Remember to add the donation link and the hashtag #DouglasBirthdayProject

Read or watch a short film of a refugee story here, talk to a refugee in your community. Take time to understand where these people – people just like you and me - have come from, the horrors they have escaped, the journey they have undertaken, the life they have to rebuild from scratch, the hopes they have for the future. I know, like me, you will recognise yourself and your family in them, and understand that refugees are not ‘other’ – they are ordinary people going through an extraordinary hardship.”
